Bachelor Controls would like to introduce you to Alex Hogue, Control Systems Engineer! In addition to designing, developing, validating, and commissioning practical and efficient control systems for customers, he enjoys playing soccer, participating in a variety of outdoor activities, and spending time with his growing family. When recommending Alex for this quarter’s employee spotlight, a colleague applauded him stating, “Alex always does a great job on every project and is excellent with the customer.”
In his four years with Bachelor Controls, Alex has worked with customers in varying industries from Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Poly/Chem, to Municipal Water facilities, and more! His skillset for his current role includes electrical designing, PLC programming, HMI development, testing, and startup of new systems. When asked what he enjoys the most about being on the Bachelor Controls team, Alex shared, “The atmosphere at BCI is more like friends and family than bosses and coworkers. As an employee, you are always surrounded by others who are willing and able to help, without hesitation.”
Born in Memphis, and raised in the surrounding area, Alex is literally right at home at the Memphis office. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology and graduated from The University of Memphis in 2017. In his free time, Alex takes to the outdoors for activities like off-road go-karting, kayaking, woodworking, and sharing experiences with his little boy, Landen, who is 3. It will be an exciting summer for Alex, as he and his wife, Bronwyn, will be welcoming a baby girl in just a few short weeks!
